Role Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Community Social Service Worker to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with 0-1 year of experience who is passionate about positively impacting the lives of children, youth, and children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children, youth, and children with disabilities in daily activities, including play, learning, and social development
  • Assist in planning and implementing recreational, educational, and developmental programs for participants
  • Engage with families and caregivers to provide guidance, resources, and support tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor, document, and report the progress and well-being of children and youth in the programs
  • Participate in community outreach, awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives to promote inclusion
  • Ensure adherence to child protection, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • 0-1 year of experience (internships, volunteering, or community work count)
  • Passion for working with children, youth, and children with disabilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Empathy, patience, and reliability

Added Advantage

  • Volunteering or work experience with children, youth, or disability-focused programs
  • Basic knowledge of child protection, inclusive education, or special needs support
  • Familiarity with community-based programs
